If you haven't heard already Cozumel is a world-renowned diving destination. This beautiful island situated off the coast of Playa Del Carmen stretches 48km long and 16km wide. It's a popular cruise ship port with plenty of white sandy beaches and souvenir shops to keep visitors happy, but what really makes Cozumel stand out is the phenomenal dive sites. Here's what you can expect to find:

1. Beautiful water...

The average water temperature year round is 82°F/27°C - that’s pretty toasty! Not to mention the water has an unforgettable deep, blue color that is unique to the island. The visibility is equally spectacular, averaging at 100ft. These perfect conditions allow divers to explore the dive site with ease whilst snapping some great photos!

2. One of a kind walls and reefs..

The Mesoamerican reef is the second largest barrier reef in the world. The architecture of the dive sites are magnificent - tunnels, swim throughs, giant coral heads all can be observed whilst you swim over a 300ft ledge-drop.

3. Diving?! More like flying...

At times being underwater in Cozumel feels more like flying than diving. Once you descend, just sit back, relax and go with the flow! The strong currents can be challenging so ask your guide for advice on how to drift safely.

4. Did we mention the abundant marine life..?

Divers can enjoy an array of biodiversity in Cozumel. Nurse sharks, turtles, eagle rays can be seen, along with other tropical species. Have you heard of the Splendid Toadfish?! This endemic creature will most likely be found under coral outcroppings.
