The PADI Open Water course with Manta Divers is a comprehensive and efficient way to become a certified diver while maximizing your time underwater.

You complete the full PADI eLearning at your own pace from home, so when you arrive in Cancun you are ready to dive right in rather than sit in a classroom.

Day one begins at 8:30 am with pool training in the morning.

After a short lunch you board the boat by 1 pm for your first two training dives, putting your new skills to work underwater and at the surface, finishing around 4:30 pm.

Day two starts at 8 am, straight onto the boat for dives three and four, where you master the remaining skills, and a little paperwork back on land completes your certification.

The PADI Open Water Plus course gives you the full Open Water certification plus a bonus third day of diving to put it into practice.

You still complete the eLearning at home, then spend three days in the water rather than two.

Day one starts at 8:30 am with orientation and a morning in the pool, then your first two open-water training dives from the boat at 1 pm, finishing around 4:30 pm.

Day two gears up at 8 am for dives three and four, and after a little paperwork you officially become a PADI Open Water Diver.

The PADI Junior Open Water Plus Guardian course certifies your child while you dive alongside them. It is built for parents who already dive and want to share the experience rather than watch from the boat.

You will be in the water for the training and the dives, not watching from the surface.

Your child, aged 10 to 14, completes the PADI eLearning at home before you travel, so the time here is spent in the water.

We keep junior classes small and usually private, so it is just you and your child with the instructor.

Day 1 checks in at 8:30 am and meets your instructor for a morning of pool training, then boards the boat at 1 pm for the first two training dives, finishing around 4:30 pm.

Day 2 depends on age: 10 and 11 year olds start at 12:30 pm, while 12 to 14 year olds start at 8:00 am, which allows for slightly deeper dives.

The accompanying parent or guardian must already be a certified PADI Open Water Diver or higher. If you are not certified yet, you can book your own Open Water course alongside this one, run and priced separately.

Started your PADI Open Water course at home? Finish your Open Water certification in the warm, clear water of the Mexican Caribbean.

This referral course is for divers who have already completed the PADI theory and the confined-water pool training with another dive shop and only need their open-water dives to certify.

Your day begins around 8:00 am at our dive shop with a short review of what you covered at home and in the pool, then an in-water skills assessment so your instructor can see exactly where you are.

From there you head out on the boat and complete your four open-water certification dives on Cancun's reefs, run across the morning and early afternoon, where turtles, rays, and tropical fish are common and you demonstrate each required skill for real.

After the paperwork you hold the full, worldwide PADI Open Water Diver certification. Please bring your referral paperwork from your original dive shop, signed and dated by your instructor, as we cannot certify you without it.

Scuba and snorkel gear, wetsuit, water, fruit, snacks, and all taxes and fees are included.

This two-day referral course finishes it in Cancun's warm Caribbean rather than a pool back home, for divers who completed the theory, through PADI eLearning or classroom work with another shop, but have not done their confined-water training or open-water dives.

Day 1 starts around 8:30 am at our dive shop with a pool session, working through the confined-water skills with your instructor: buoyancy control, mask clearing, regulator recovery, and the rest.

After a short lunch you board our boat in the early afternoon for your first two open-water training dives, finishing around 4:30 pm.

Day 2 begins at 8:00 am, straight out on the boat for your remaining open-water certification dives, where you demonstrate those skills for real in Cancun's clear water, and after a little paperwork you are a certified PADI Open Water Diver.

Over three days and six dives you build real skills, dive some of the best sites in the region, and certify to 30 meters, opening up the deeper reefs and wrecks.

We include a sixth dive where PADI only requires five.

Day one covers Peak Performance Buoyancy and Underwater Navigation at MUSA and a reef near Isla Mujeres. Day two is your Deep Dive to 30 meters (100 feet) and a Drift Dive in Cancun's currents.

Day three is Boat Diver training on one of our boats. For your optional sixth dive you choose the adventure with your instructor: Enriched Air Nitrox, Boat Diver, or Fish Identification.

We build the schedule around you rather than fixing set times, fitting your three days to what is running and planning them with you when you arrive, so you get the sites and conditions that suit you.

The Gold course is our premium Advanced Open Water. You earn the same certification, but instead of staying in Cancun you spend three days across three of the best diving environments in the region, and you finish Nitrox certified as well.

The theory is completed at home through PADI eLearning before you travel, so your time here is spent entirely in the water.

Day 1 is MUSA, with Underwater Navigation and Peak Performance Buoyancy at the underwater museum. Navigation gives you the confidence to explore a site rather than follow a guide, and buoyancy is the skill that makes every dive afterward easier.

Day 2 is Cozumel, with Drift Diver training on the island's world-famous wall, plus your choice of Wreck Diver or Boat Diver.

Day 3 heads into the Mayan jungle for Cavern and Deep Adventure dives in the cenotes, the freshwater caverns found nowhere else on earth.

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you to prevent problems underwater and to manage them when they happen.

Most divers say it is the course that changed how they dive, because you stop thinking only about yourself and start watching the whole group.

Two things you might expect to arrange or pay for separately are included here at no extra charge: the PADI Emergency First Response course, which certifies you in CPR and first aid, and the Underwater Navigation dive if you have not already completed it.

You do the eLearning theory at home, then spend two to three days with us in Cancun for your Emergency First Response training, the navigation dive if you need it, confined-water sessions to practice the rescue skills, and open-water scenarios where you handle simulated emergencies for real.

You learn to recognize and manage stress in yourself and others before it becomes an emergency, to assist tired or panicked divers at the surface and underwater, and to respond to an unresponsive diver, including rescue breaths and getting them safely out of the water.

Enriched Air Nitrox, usually just called nitrox, is a breathing gas with more oxygen than air. Air is 21% oxygen, nitrox is typically 32% or 36%.

Less nitrogen going in means less nitrogen to offload, and that changes what you can do with a dive.

The payoff is real: longer bottom times, because you reach your no-decompression limit later; shorter surface intervals, because you off-gas less and are ready for the next dive sooner; and a bigger advantage the more you dive, which is why most divers notice it most on a two or three-dive day.

Many divers also report less fatigue after a day on nitrox.

It is worth being clear about what nitrox is not.

It is not a deep gas: the more oxygen in the mix, the shallower your maximum operating depth, around 110 feet on 32% and around 95 feet on 36%, and going past that risks oxygen toxicity.

Calculating that limit safely is the main thing this course teaches, and it is a knowledge-only certification you can complete without any dives.

Turn your diving into a career. The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional step, giving you the leadership skills to supervise dive activities, assist instructors, and guide certified divers.

At a busy PADI 5-Star center you build that experience for real, guiding on Cancun reefs, Cozumel drifts, and cenote caverns, rather than sitting in a classroom. Typical duration is 12 to 20 days, depending on your pace.

You develop advanced dive theory, water skills and stamina to professional level, and leadership and problem-solving through real scenarios, while assisting on student courses alongside PADI instructors.

There are two ways to do it: the course itself, worked around your schedule, or an internship where you pay nothing for the training and instead work with us for the duration.

The internship takes longer but costs you nothing, so contact us to talk about whether it suits you.
